The vast territory of Patagonia offers a wide range of establishments, from luxurious and ancient cattle ranches\u2014over 200 years old\u2014that span over 100,000 acres, to smaller, equally picturesque and attractive ranches, fields, and farms. Visitors can enjoy the diverse daily activities of Patagonian countrymen. Sheep shearing, cow milking, and lamb marking, cattle branding, herd management, visits to dairy farms and hatcheries, the production of artisanal cheeses, sweets, liqueurs and fine fruits, dressage shows and other Creole skills, folklore gatherings, and rural museums that showcase the history of the most deeply rooted customs. Exquisite wines accompany the classic Creole barbecue in the open air. In the afternoons, a cup of mate, shared as a sign of hospitality, completes a tempting invitation to enjoy the peace of Patagonia.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

La Pampa<\/h3>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Agricultural-livestock cattle ranches nestled amid the plains, valleys, hills, and the unique Cald\u00e9n forest in La Pampa are perfect accommodations for enjoying rural tasks: from learning how to saddle a horse to riding a sulky or plowing and harvesting alongside the countrymen. Visitors will also have the opportunity to practice equestrian sports or attend the wonderful spectacle of Creole skills, guitar playing, and typical Pampas folklore gatherings that bring fellow countrymen together accompanied by the Patagonian sunsets.<\/p>\r\n

Neuqu\u00e9n<\/h3>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Amidst mountain rivers, lush forests, and beyond the desert-like Patagonian steppe, Neuqu\u00e9n offers a wide variety of cattle ranches and small rural establishments. These cattle ranches are mostly near the localities of San Mart\u00edn de los Andes, Loncopu\u00e9, Alumin\u00e9, Jun\u00edn de los Andes, Zapala, and the outskirts of the city of Neuqu\u00e9n. There are a few agrotourism establishments where you can spend one or more days of tranquility, without having to leave the city.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

R\u00edo Negro<\/h3>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

The valleys of the \u201cNegro\u201d and \u201cColorado\u201d rivers offer incredible field days in the company of families dedicated to fruit and vegetable and livestock production. There, sport fishing and horseback riding invite tranquility amidst beautiful landscapes. More than 86,000 acres of cultivated land allow visitors to discover the Pear and Apple Route and the Wine Route. Rural establishments in the mountain range region, dedicated to the production of fine fruits, organic agriculture, and artisanal food and beverages, complement their proposals with horseback riding, trekking, sport fishing, nature observation, and other outdoor activities that invite relaxation and enjoyment.<\/p>\r\n

Chubut<\/h3>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Located in rugged landscapes of coastal cliffs or lush Andean forests, the province’s rural establishments allow you to enjoy a warm, traditional atmosphere year-round. In the Province of Chubut, you can visit agrotourism consortiums in 42nd Parallel Shire and various ranches distributed throughout the Vald\u00e9s Peninsula and the Central Corridor, which offer an interesting and varied offering to those seeking a more natural lifestyle.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Santa Cruz<\/h3>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Santa Cruz has more than 30 cattle ranches nestled in unspoiled landscapes of singular beauty. The most renowned are: Truchaike, 30 km from R\u00edo Gallegos; \u201cMonte Dinero\u201d, on the Strait of Magellan, 120 km from R\u00edo Gallegos; \u201cMonte Le\u00f3n\u201d, located south of the town of Comandante Luis Piedra Buena; Helsingfors, on the southern shore of Lake Viedma; \u201cAlta Vista,\u201d near El Calafate; Huyliche, on the southern shore of \u201cLago Argentino,\u201d 3 km from El Calafate; La Cristina, on the arm of \u201cLago Argentino\u201d; and La Serena, on the shores of the \u201cLago Buenos Aires\u201d, between Perito Moreno and Los Antiguos; the Suyai and \u201cLagos del Furioso\u201d cattle ranches, located near lakes Posadas and Pueyrred\u00f3n, among others.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Tierra del Fuego<\/h3>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

In the far south of Patagonia, the cattle ranches allow you to discover the secrets of sheep farming and the pioneering history told by their descendants in Tierra del Fuego. Sheep shearing is one of the most attractive activities in the far south of the South American continent. Among the most renowned cattle ranches are Mar\u00eda Behety, with one of the largest shearing sheds in the world, and the traditional Harberton cattle ranch.<\/p>\r\n
