“Islote Lobos” National Park

The “Islote Lobos” National Park is located on the Atlantic coast of the province of Río Negro. It covers an area of 19,079.20 acres and belongs to the Argentine Low Mount ecoregion. It was created in 2022 to preserve the species that choose this area as a breeding ground. It provides protection to a colony of South American fur sea lions and a colony of Magellanic penguins, the latter being the northernmost colony of the species in the world.
